Following the 2016 relocation of the legendary Oscilloscope Studio, I had the distinct honor of shaping a narrative for this commemorative online experience. It’s a digital time capsule giving O-Scope and Beastie Boys fans the the chance to delve into the past; to see the dreams, realities, and idiosyncrasies of Adam Yauch and the people connected to Oscilloscope Laboratories that made it the cultural icon it is today.
The House That Yauch Built highlights more than just physical objects inhabiting the space. We dive into the events, studio experiences, and stories from likeminded friends and celebs that define the Oscilloscope ethos… from music, film, and artwork to all of the minutiae in between. After Creative Director, David Estis, shot the entire location just days before its impending decamp, we worked together to wrangle every bit of content and form this multilinear ode to O-scope. A navigable homage to these titans of indie culture entertainment.
